Lindsey Parish Council's website is fully complaint with accessibility standards. The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Some of our PDFs and Word documents provide information to the public. For example, we have PDFs of historic minutes, policies and financial information. From May 2020 any documents loaded onto the website will include the following: Alternative text to be provided with visuals; meaningful hyperlink text added; colour is not used to convey information; sufficient contrast is used for text and background colours; built in headings and styles are used; table structures to be simple with column header information.
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23rd September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. For example, we do not plan to fix copies of minutes. Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
