Advice from the Waste Collection Team at Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils:
Before they can empty your bin, please make sure that:
If your bin is too full or an item is too big to fit in, find out how you can dispose of additional waste.
Once emptied, the bin must be taken back inside your property's boundary by 7.00pm on your collection day (unless the collection has been delayed or we have specified otherwise).
Please note that we will only empty authorised Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council bins that we have issued to the address.
It is also important to keep your bin clean in between collections.
Before reporting a missed collection, please check the waste collection schedule for updates
We collect more than 100,000 bins across the districts every week.
Sometimes, collections can be delayed by factors out of our control. Examples include roadworks, vehicle breakdowns, crew sickness, severe weather or parked cars preventing safe access.
To avoid a missed collection, check what should go in your bins. If a bin contains unacceptable items, it will not be emptied.
Please ensure that your bin is out by 6.30am on your collection day and that you follow our bin collection advice.
Check below for known delays in your area.
If your road is listed below, it means we are already aware that you haven't had a collection.
If this is the case, please don't report it, but leave your bin out and we'll collect it as soon as possible.
